Lift Your Spirits Ski Day Raises $29,000 for Red Door and Plan Canada

Date: March 27, 2014

Big things happen when a friendly industry comes together! In January 2014 the Architecture, Design, Contract Furniture and Construction community joined for the 3rd annual Lift Your Spirits Ski Day. Participants had fun on the slopes while earning continuing educational unit credits and raising funds to support women, children and families both locally and globally. The day raised a whopping $29,000 for Red Door’s children program and toward Plan Canada’s Because I am a Girl maternal waiting homes project in Zimbabwe.

Lift your Spirits Ski Day would not have been a success without the work of committee organizers Deborah Sperry of HOK, Ross Attridge of Equinox Development, Dayna Bradley of Brigholme Interiors Group, Gary Miller of Equinox Development, John Tremblay of Tremton Construction Inc and Anne Gowan of POI Business Interiors. A big thanks to all participants, donors and volunteers without whom it could not have happened.
